About Mark Isaacs

Mark has been painting beautiful landscapes for over forty years.

A Landscape Architect, Mark studied art and design at the University of Michigan (BLA) and Harvard Graduate School of Design (MLA) and Etching and Printmaking at the Arturo Michelena Escula de Beaux Artes in Valencia, Venezuela.

Impressionists and his family most influence his art style.

He has taught art at workshops in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area and at the School of Visual Arts and Careers in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands. He has published articles including one about Frederick Law Olmsted and on water features in landscape design.

Mark’s works have been shown in Galleries in Vienna, Virginia, the Phillip Carter Winery in Hume, Virginia, the Greenbriar Resort in West Virginia, and in the Virgin Islands. His works are in private collections in Paris and the Caribbean and throughout the United States, including in Virginia, Alaska, Florida, North and South Carolina, California, Massachusetts, Maryland, New York, Vermont and Oregon.

Mark’s love of nature is the inspiration for his art.

He is well known for his vibrant Caribbean pictures and the paintings of vineyards of Virginia. As you peruse this website you will experience the joy that is Mark’s love of nature’s beauty. He is also known for paintings of his client’s beloved pets as well as historic sights. He is available to do Commissions at the request of clients.

Mark, the father of two wonderful daughters and a Granddaughter and his wife of over 50 years live in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands.
